Frequently Asked Questions!

Where do our crystals come from?
All of the crystals on our website have been personally mined by us. Family hobby that has now been turned into business. Through years of travel around North America we developed the connections and relationships with property owners and local miners that have allowed us to unearth these beautiful minerals ourselves. In the product description of every specimen the origin has been listed as well as with certain crystals the date it was mined.

How do you mine the crystals?
Once a crystal vein or pocket has been exposed the crystals are then carefully removed by hand and placed in containers for transport. At this step the crystals are still very muddy and kept this way to protect them in transport to where the cleaning takes place. Large crystals are also wrapped in newspaper at this step. How a crystal vein is exposed varies spot by spot, sometimes the vein is at ground level and crystals can be found naturally occurring on the surface. For most larger scale crystal digging operations the prospector will of found the start of a vein and will dig down and move rock out of the way to expose where the veins open up to produce more beautiful specimens.
